The perfect 10 was witnessed for the first time in modern Olympic gymnastic history at the Montreal games in 1976 and was achieved by the young gymnast, Nadia Comaneci. Her first ‘perfect’ score was for her routine on the uneven bars but it can encourage us to ask further questions around whether perfection is in fact possible.
