Quarrelsome Questions for Parents and Children

You can use these questions, and others you or your children create, to play a very simple game.

Cut up the questions and place them face down on a table. Take it in turns to pick one up and ask it to the other player. The other player gives their answer, and the question asker then says if the agree or disagree and why.

If there are three or more of you, you can go round in a circle, with all the players deciding if they agree or disagree with the first answer given.

The questions are all “quarrelsome questions” about which reasonable people can have different opinions. Some are frivolous, some are heavy, and some will be more appropriate to older or younger children.
