Who can help?

Training and support
The p4c.com website offers a great deal of support but we also offer training. All the members of the p4c.com co-operative are experienced teachers and trainers. We offer accredited training in philosophy for children in the UK and overseas. To find out more, please contact Helen Richards.
In the UK we can provide courses to individual schools, clusters of schools, or a groups of individuals who are able to organise a venue.
If you simply want to attend a course on your own, then SAPERE (Society for Advancing Philosophical Enquiry and Reflection in Education) organises 'open' courses for individuals in London and Oxford and they have details of courses run by by P4C trainers in other parts of the country on their website.
Many countries around the world have a national body responsible for supporting p4c, many of which are listed below. In the UK, for example, this is SAPERE (Society for the Advancement of Philosopical Enquiry and Reflection in Education). To see a full list, visit the IAPC (Institute for the Advancement of Philosophy for Children)
Accredited courses
The co-directors of p4c.com, together with many of our contributors offer a full range of accredited courses in philosophy for children. These include 12-hour introductory courses (Level 1), to 24-hour coaching (Level 2) and 36-hour trainer courses (Level 3). For full details, contact Helen Richards.
Bespoke training
We can arrange bespoke training sessions, tailored specifically for individual institutions, clusters or local authorities. This can include demonstration lessons, training days (either accredited courses or awareness-raising days), teacher-coaching, support with planning, and online support.
The format of the training can be varied between a keynote or workshop (at national or international conferences), whole-staff training day(s), half-day or twilight sessions and/or a parent/community workshops.
Links can be made with special interest areas such as citizenship, creativity, critical thinking, drama, early years, English, gifted and talented, primary/secondary frameworks or indeed most school subject areas.
