Role plays

Role playsReady-made philosophical role plays for you to try out

Role plays can be very motivating and enjoyable for pupils and great fun to devise. They might be extended thought experiments, exercises in deliberation and decision making, and vehicles for dialogue on ethical issues. They can be based in the future, the past or the present day and could be conducted in one long session, over a series of regular short lessons or even online at a distance.

Role plays benefit from being tried out in various contexts and improved or amended. We hope, therefore, that you will comment of the work presented here and consider submitting your own role plays to be tried by others. If you are sharing your philosophical role-plays please email steve@p4c.com.
